Why Should I Drink a Protein Shake?

You have probably heard multiple times that protein shakes are good for you. Perhaps you think that’s only true for serious bodybuilders or weight lifters. But that’s not the case at all. Protein shakes are important for many reasons, including the following:

  • Improve muscle tone and overall health
  • Have more nutrients than most meals these days
  • Digest easier than most dietary proteins
  • Supply high quality protein source in a convenient manner
  • Cost less than most dietary proteins
  • Convenient way to get a host of vital nutrients together in one place
  • Boost metabolism and athletic performance
  • Support muscle retention while dieting
  • Help effectively monitor precise amounts of protein/carbohydrate/fats in your diet

With all those benefits, it sure sounds like we should all be pounding down protein shakes. Don’t you agree? I emphatically believe that when blended correctly, protein shakes can be the healthiest and easiest ways to power pack our bodies with a super concentration of nutrients.

How many meals can be prepared in less than five minutes that supply your body with 30 grams of protein, 6 grams of fiber, only 25 grams of carbs and 12 grams of sugar, powerful anti-oxidants, vitamins minerals, heart healthy fats and no cholesterol? And they taste great.

I challenge you to make that perfect meal in less than five minutes and for about two dollars! Take into consideration your time, cost, energy levels and, of course, health concerns, and most of you will see that protein shakes do offer a tremendous advantage.

Max Muscle Nutrition is proud to have pioneered the ever-popular protein shake. We have specialized in manufacturing some of the finest protein powders on the market. We first introduced MaxPro back in the early 90s and for decades it's been our fan-favorite! Today, we have not only morphed MaxPro into an even better formula called MaxPro Elite, but we also have a number of other protein powders to choose from including ARM Plus+ and QuadPro EXT!

If you want to start making some delicious and nutritious protein shakes, here is a great recipe to get you started:

Banana & Strawberry Blast Protein Shake Recipe

Ingredients

Directions: Place all these ingredients in a blender and blend for 30 seconds. I love to add 1 tablespoon each of flax seeds and chia seeds. This will add essential fatty acids as well as more fiber and protein.

Nutritional Information:
32g protein
8g fiber
18 – 45g carbohydrate, depending on what liquids you choose
6g fat
200-300 calories, depending on liquids, etc.

The key is to be creative and try different liquids, like cashew milk, soy/coconut milk, etc. These usually have low calories and really make your shake taste creamy. Also, try different fruits. There are many different frozen fruits to mix things up. Whether you want to limit your shake to 100 calories for calorie-restricted diets or drink 1,000 calories per shake to gain lean muscle, protein shakes are the easiest and simplest way to do this.

For more than 25 years, Max Muscle Nutrition has helped thousands of customers accomplish their goals by utilizing Max Muscle products, and of course, most of these customers have used Max Muscle’s concept of multi-serving protein meals or healthy protein shakes.
