Mike Davis Shares His Fitness Journey

Mike Davis, 50, a Navy veteran living in Colona, Illinois, has been a regular Quad Cities Max Muscle Nutrition customer since 2013. While in the service, Mike said he ate as much as possible as often as possible because he never really knew when the next meal would be. Unfortunately, Mike’s eating habits continued after he retired from the military. He eventually found himself weighing 280+ pounds and realized he needed to make some changes.

Mike began his journey by joining a gym and working out. While at the gym, he noticed a fellow gym member’s Max Muscle T-shirt and asked the man what Max Muscle was. Based on what he was told, Mike believed Max Muscle could be the place to help him with his nutrition. Shortly after in July 2013, Mike walked into the Moline, Illinois Max Muscle store and was promptly greeted by co-owner Scott Herkes.

Mike said, “After just a few moments in the store, Scott provided such an education on supplements and nutrition, I could tell he knew what he was talking about.” Scott spent quite a bit of time that day with Mike explaining products and nutrition. By the time Mike left the store, he had purchased his first Max Muscle products and started on the Max Muscle nutrition plan.

When asked what his favorite Max Muscle product is, Mike immediately said, “It’s not just a product, it’s the staff! They’re so knowledgeable and helpful. They’re always willing to spend as much time with me as I need to help me reach my goals. Max Muscle products are far above any other brand. I’d been to other supplement stores in the area but felt there was a huge lack of knowledge, so I never felt confident in their information or their products.”

Mike currently likes to combine the Wild Cherry Tart Emerge with the Pro BCAA’s for pre-workout, Max A.R.M. for recovery, and MaxPro Elite for meals or snacks. He also consistently uses Nitro 2, 2Tx or MTX, and MaxxTOR.

Currently, Mike works out 6-7 days a week and a minimum of 1.5 to 2 hours per session, which has become a way of life for him. Today, Mike weighs 184 pounds with 14 percent body fat and continues to make progress by working with Brent Herkes, Max Muscle Moline store manager. “I feel as welcome today as I did when I first walked through the door in 2013,” Mike said.
